Focus your energy. Master your time.
Get It Done

Every second counts, so let’s get right to it. 1 idea, 2 ways it saves you time, and 3 steps to Get It Done:
Stop opening your email first thing in the morning. Begin with your most important task instead.
1. Email tricks your brain into feeling productive yet you make no real progress. You react to other people’s priorities instead of moving your own goals forward.
2. Your focus is strongest early in the day. Using that power on low value replies wastes your best thinking window and forces you to work longer later.
1. Pick the one task that matters most for the day.
2. Begin your morning with that task before you check your phone inbox or messages.
3. Set a timer and work on it without switching until the timer ends.
Your day is shaped by the first task you choose. Choose a high leverage task and the rest of your day becomes easier, faster and lighter.
“I’m worried I might miss something urgent!”
If something is truly urgent people call. Email can wait a couple hours.
As promised — 1 minute that can save you hours
