Get It Done

Every second counts, so let’s get right to it. 1 idea, 2 ways it saves you time, and 3 steps to Get It Done:
Compress your deadlines to enhance focus, boost motivation, and reduce procrastination.
1. Beats perfectionism – A tight deadline stops overthinking, channels focus, and forces action.
2. Uses Parkinson’s Law – Work expands to fill the time you give it. Less time = faster completion.
1. Set a challenging deadline (but keep it realistic) – For example, give yourself 45 minutes for a task that normally takes an hour. The easier the task, the shorter the deadline can be.
2. Use a visible countdown – Set a timer or use a clock you can see, it increases urgency and triggers focus.
3. Commit to a hard stop – When time’s up, you must move on. A near-finished task is better than one that drags all day (use your best judgement).
You don’t need more time — you need less. Try this today and watch your focus and productivity skyrocket.
“I’m too tired at the end of the day to do this.”
No problem. Remember that most of the time the goal isn’t perfection — it’s speed. If the task still needs work, set one final 10–15 minute sprint. Most of the time, you’ll be done enough to move forward.
As promised — 1 minute that can save you hours

P.S. I used to end my day by scrolling on my phone. Now I do this quick review… and somehow my productivity went up, and my screen time went down. Shocking. 😏
