Focus your energy. Master your time.
Get It Done

Every second counts, so let’s get right to it. 1 idea, 2 ways it saves you time, and 3 steps to Get It Done:
Once per week, designate a block of time to intentionally unplug from work, reduce stimulation, and allow your mind to reset fully.
1. Your brain cannot run at full speed without recovery. A weekly restoration habit clears mental fatigue, sharpens decision making, and prevents the slow thinking that wastes hours during the week.
2. Regular recovery protects you from burnout, which is one of the biggest hidden time costs. Rested brains work faster, make fewer mistakes, and stay focused for longer.
1. Pick a consistent time each week for your restoration block, such as Sunday morning or Saturday afternoon.
2. Remove all work triggers for that block, including email, planning, or heavy thinking.
3. Do something simple and restorative such as walking, stretching, reading, or resting without screens.
Rest is not a reward. It’s a performance tool. One weekly restoration block strengthens your mind, increases mental clarity, and gives you more usable hours during the week.
“But my weekends are already full!”
They always will be unless you protect a small block on purpose. A restoration habit does not need a whole day, only a set window. When you schedule it first, everything else fits around it and you show up to the weekend with more energy instead of running on fumes.
As promised — 1 minute that can save you hours

P.S. Fun fact, research shows that recovery is a stronger predictor of long term performance than effort. Rest is not what slows you down, it’s what keeps you effective.
