Get It Done

Every second counts, so let’s get right to it. 1 idea, 2 ways it saves you time, and 3 steps to Get It Done:
Adjust friction to make good habits easier and bad habits harder.
1. Reduces the time spent “deciding” – When a habit is effortless to start, you skip the internal debate and jump straight into action, no wasted minutes hesitating.
2. Prevents time-draining distractions – Increasing friction for bad habits (like mindless scrolling or watching excessive T.V.) means you stop losing hours to them in the first place.
1. Make good habits ridiculously easy – Lay out your workout clothes the night before. Keep a water bottle on your desk. Put your book where you’ll see it.
2. Add friction to bad habits – Put your phone in another room while working. Log out of distracting apps. Unplug your T.V.
3. Test & tweak – If a habit isn’t sticking, ask: Is it too hard to start? Reduce steps. If a bad habit keeps creeping in, is it too easy? Add obstacles.
Willpower is overrated. Make the right choice the easy choice, and your habits will take care of themselves.
But what if my bad habit is something I can’t fully remove?”
You don’t have to eliminate it — just make it slightly harder. Even a tiny obstacle (like moving social media apps to a hidden folder) can break the autopilot loop.
As promised — 1 minute that can save you hours
