Focus your energy. Master your time.
Get It Done

Every second counts, so let’s get right to it. 1 idea, 2 ways it saves you time, and 3 steps to Get It Done:
Set up your desk the same way each time so your brain knows it’s time to work as soon as you sit down.
1. Helps you start faster – Instead of taking 10–15 minutes to get into work mode, your brain switches on quickly thanks to familiar environmental cues.
2. Makes it easier to focus – A clean, clear workspace helps you jump in with fewer distractions and less mental clutter.
1. Designate a “Focus Zone” setup – Clear your desk of anything unrelated to the task. Only keep what supports the current work session (e.g. laptop, notes, timer).
2. Use physical anchors – Add visual triggers like a specific lamp turned on for deep work, a whiteboard with priorities, or noise-cancelling headphones.
3. Close your loops – At the end of each session, reset the space. Return everything to baseline so it’s ready to cue your brain next time.
Your space shapes your focus.
Set up your desk in a way that feels like “work mode,” and your brain will shift into gear before you even realise it, no motivation needed.
“But what if my desk is also used for other stuff like eating, relaxing, or meetings?”
That’s totally fine, try micro-zoning.
Use a small visual or physical signal (like a desk mat, a different chair angle, or a special “deep work” mug) to show your brain it’s time to focus.
As promised — 1 minute that can save you hours
